Baby Talk (drop-in) with special guest, therapeutic harpist Shalom Wiebe!

If you’re a new parent with a pre-mobile baby (0-9 months) and need to find your people and how to navigate this new life, you’ve come to the right place!

This free, unregistered program is a chance to meet others like yourself weekly with snacks and coffee, where you and your baby can discuss routines, sleeping, breastfeeding, development and stages, health, transition from couple to family, and resources in the community. Each week we have a special expert guest presentation on a topic relevant to you.

This week we are joined by therapeutic harpist, Shalom Wiebe, who will treat caregivers and babies to a “soundbath”. During this restorative music session parents are invited to silently rest, relax, meditate, journal, stretch, or practice yoga or mindfulness with your little one next to you – or just snuggle with your baby – while therapeutic harpist Shalom creates a soothing blanket of sound with her harp.

Using a combination of gentle songs and improvised music, Shalom will provide a unique therapeutic musical experience designed to calm the nervous system, promote rest and open space to reflect and reconnect with oneself.

If you are able, please bring items to help you feel comfortable while lying on the floor such as a yoga mat, pillow, and blanket.

Learn more about Shalom’s practice on her website!
