QtoQ Ferry

Looking for a fun activity with your little ones? Take the Q to Q Ferry that runs between New West Quay and Queensborough! This short, fun trip has a great destination on either side: New West Quay on one side and Port Royal park on the other. Bathrooms can be found at both locations for an easy day out! ?? Fraser River Discovery Centre

Head down to the @thefrdc Fraser River Discovery Centre to learn about one of our greatest outdoor features, the Fraser River! A great place to go with young kids with plenty of interactive stuff while still feeling covid-19 safe. If you are looking to fill up an afternoon, take in a stroll along the river while you are there and stop by @rivermrkt !

Here is what you need to know if you are heading down to the FRDC:

Registered Drop In Activities (New West Parks & Recreation)

Olga’s Fairy Houses in Moody Park

Every Friday we build a new tiny fairy house for your kids to find in Moody Park. Farmer’s Market

The summer market can be found in Tipperary Park, New Westminster (next to New West City Hall) every Thursday, from 3pm-7pm, from April 1st to November 4th, 2021. During the 2021 season 3:00-3:15 is reserved as priority entrance time for seniors, those with disabilities, and those with small children. During COVID-19 we are operating with one entrance at Queens Ave and one exit (by City Hall).  https://newwestfarmers.ca/about/

Burnaby Village Museum & Deer Lake

Although not in our city, very close by is a great day out destination for the whole family! Head to Deer Lake for some great trails to explore and check out the Burnaby Village Museum while you are there. Go back in time at the 10 acre replica 1920’s village that you can explore at your own pace! Admission is free but you must pre-register online at www.burnabyvillagemuseum.ca Open May 1 to September 6. Tuesday-Sunday & Holidays 11am-4:30pm Have extra time to spare?
