Tanushree is an anti-racism educator and communications consultant. An ex-journalist and photojournalist, she is always asking questions. She is a social justice activist and is always challenging the status quo. As a parent, she is always striving to make the world a fair place for all kids of colour. Tanushree and her family are settlers on this stolen land and are grateful to be here.
Tanushree is currently studying social justice at UBC and does communications and policy for a radical and decolonial feminist non-profit. She holds a diploma in journalism from BCIT and a degree in Mass Communications from India. She considers herself a student of life and is always looking for a chance to go back to school. Other than her kids, reading and cooking are her true loves. You will often find her buried in a book but dreaming about cooking.
