Eryne spent years attending Family Place drop ins as a parent, and has a passion for creating community connections.
She holds a Masters degree in Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Concentration in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Her background in the arts and as an educator is very broad and has led to work as diverse as magazine columnist, exhibiting artist, illustrator/graphic designer, university-level lecturer, children’s art teacher, ESL conversation and listening instructor.
She enjoys coordinating and facilitating community art-related events, has regularly participated in civic engagement on a variety of committees and boards, as a guest author to a few blogs and independent magazines, and as a presenter at Pecha Kucha New West. Eryne currently holds a position on the Board of Directors of BC Naturekids, sits on the Editorial Committee of Naturewild Magazine, and has two school-aged daughters.
